Alan Ward’s project, the appropriately titled “DGAF.” is a brash 7-song E.P that provides solid production, helpful features, and picture-painting storytelling. By the project’s end, Ward establishes himself as a reliable emcee with high-caliber potential.

On this EP, Ward occupies an A$AP Rocky-esk lane, showing that he’s skilled enough to hang with your favorite rapper but cool enough to become your local favorite rapper’s favorite rapper. Ward thrives on songs where the rapper is able to verbally sweat-free double-dutch’s over simplistic hip-hop beats, such as ‘Suzi Wu’.

Ward’s greatest strength is in his ability to get his point across without having to bar you to death. He’s aware of his flow and cadence, which in turn acts as his rapping strong-suits. What concludes is an solid outing from Ward, who offers high potential and rare misses on this short EP. Certainly one to check out.
