Single Review - “I Imagine” by Luna Li feat. Hope Tala
After taking nearly two weeks off from writing a review, I figured it was best to write a review about one of my current favorite songs, "I Imagine" by Luna Li featuring Hope Tala. A song that, on the surface, is far from groundbreaking, yet undoubtedly ear-gasmingly beautiful. Two verses, which accomplish their respective task of talking about that special feeling of imagining the potential of love, which, as everyone knows, is a far better thought than the actual Rollercoaster of love.
These days, I've found myself saying, "Hope Tala can go!" And it's one of the truest statements I've ever made because between her poetic songwriting, beautiful low register, and picture-perfect ear for instrumentals, she can flat-out do no wrong, or as I like to say, she can go. On the flip side, Luna Li has quickly become one of my favorites. Her musicality is easily one of the best out today, a lovestruck artist willing to go into the depths of artistry to craft music that resembles a unique painting rather than modern music.
Together, "I Imagine" blends these two worlds, making a track that flaunts their talents much to the delight of every listener. While this track is a remix of Luna Li's original track, it distinctly improves on the song with the addition of Hope, who carries the track's back end before the two engage in heavenly harmonics.
Over two-and-a-half minutes, the song transforms from a traditional R&B record to a modern masterpiece. Everyone should listen to this record if they have the opportunity.
